Word&You Today: 6th March, 2020

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:14, 16-17 (KJV)

Grace Is Not A Tool! If you ask a lot of people this question “What is Grace?” You will hear different answers with a lot of the answers showing ignorance of what the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is a saving power. That when it resides in you; it helps you take all things as you may need which are already available for you in Christ Jesus – Ephesians 2:5-9.

Grace is not a tool for getting things. It is a spirit of a person that lives in you and that makes thing easy for you – Hebrews 10:29. Meaning you have to walk in this grace daily to enjoy all the benefits in this Grace. IS GRACE A LICENSE TO SIN? No man needs a license to do evil. The fallen state of man affords him that with ease. Grace is God’s cure for sin. John the Baptist, the last prophet of the Old Testament said, “….Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29 KJV

So; no man can defeat sin except he beholds and receives this Christ who is the embodiment of grace! “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:14 (KJV).  “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” – Titus 2:11-12 (KJV)

When a man receives Jesus who is the “Grace”, the coming of Christ into him removes that sinful nature completely and the nature of son-ship takes over that man and such is no longer a sinner but a son of God! “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12 KJV

Grace is an Empowerment to Reign over all the things; Grace empowers you to live the life of Christ, Makes you enjoy all that Christ can enjoy etc. But walking in this grace is very important. Heb 10:29 says “Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”

The Increase of sin cannot make Grace of no effect. It is the increase of the Revelation of Jesus (Grace) that nullifies and makes Sin of no effect. “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” 1 Peter 1:13  (KJV)

What makes men free is the knowledge of the truth, not struggling to behave right, but the knowledge of the PERSON of Jesus Christ as revealed in the scriptures. “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:4 (KJV). Why is the truth so Important? “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32  (KJV)

So what is the Truth? “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth (which is truth) came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17 (KJV). “Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (KJV). So Grace finds expression in the person of Jesus. The truth is a person. His name is Jesus Christ. He is Grace Personified!!! Grace is a person living his life through you.

When a believer is struggling with falling he is in identity crisis. He needs a constant revelation of Jesus (GRACE) because that is what can unveil his true identity. “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)

Say this after me now: Father I daily walk in your GRACE in the name of Jesus Christ. By this grace all my needs are met and I have power to overcome all troubles of life and sin daily in Jesus name. Amen.
