Topic: As Many That Are Led By The Holy Spirit?

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. – Romans 8:14 (KJV)

Every believer must daily with the help of the Holy Spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh. That is put flesh in control not by self-will but by the help of the Holy Spirit – Zech 4:6, Phil 2:13, 4:13.  I am very sorry for believers who have been deceived with the gospel of “Sin is dead”. In the first place, please note that such gospel is from the pit of hell, it is not scriptural and any biblical references used to teach such have been misinterpreted. Why? There is no such statement in the new covenant scriptures.

Apostle Paul is the forerunner of the gospel of Grace. Hear some of his teachings on sin and believers in Christ: He said we are the one that is dead to sin and sin is alive. It is not dead to us…. Romans 6:2 – “God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Verse 6 says “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” So Sin Exist and we as believers exist but free from engaging in sin why? We are dead. Can a dead person commit sin? Obviously NO!

I love verse twelve of that Romans six, where he admonishes us to do within our power with the help of the Holy Spirit not to permit sin to reign over us – Romans 6: 12 – “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.– KJV”. Hear this in verse 14- For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Wow! Did you see that? Taking the gospel of grace as a license for you to start living recklessly? Obviously NO! Apostle Paul said “What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. – Rom 6:14 KJV

Stop yielding yourself to sin! Bro Paul said “it is about you yielding yourself” hold yourself strong by conscious awakening and awareness that “YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. And live by the confession of the same through this grace by the help of the Holy Spirit.  See this scripture “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore-mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” – Rev 21:8.

From the above scripture, it is clear that if we believe we are free from the implication of that scripture provided we do not get involve with the other mentioned we are free. But if you believe in Christ and still get involved in others, how can you escape? – Rev 22:11. Come let us reason! Apostle Paul said “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” – Rom 8:14. And if you are under the leading of the Spirit you are not under law but grace – Gal 5:13. Can you see it clearly that the gospel of Christ is never a license to sin. Simply because it is powered by the Holy Spirit and His leading. Will Holy Spirit lead you to lie? Will He lead anyone to fornicate and engage in adultery,….etc.? The answer is NO!

Conclusion

Hear this clearly Grace empowers to stay righteous without sin and blemish; and this is the people Christ is coming for at His second coming. – Roman 6:14, Titus 2:11-12 says “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (KJV). Let us stop making provision for the grace but live by the provision of the Grace for us in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

Declare with me that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I have right standing with God through Christ, it is a gift of God for me in Christ Jesus. It is not by my works therefore I am not boasting and sin have no dominion over me. I surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit and I will daily enjoy all the blessings of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen
