Faithful is He that called you

Text: Hebrews 10:19-23 (KJV) – Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

And having a high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised 😉

Faithful means to be committed to someone or self. It is a measure of loyalty of a person concerning who he believes or what he believed

Faithful is a root word from faith. To be faithful it is required to believe. Remaining loyal and steadfast. Faithfulness, therefore, is being consistent, loyal and stand strong for or with the person you believe or what you believe.

1 Timothy 6:2 (KJV) – And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

Ephesians 1:1 – Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Paul mentioning people that he has found faithful in there dealing with God here – Ephesians 6:21 – But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

Colossians 4:7 – All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord:

Colossians 1:7 – As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

Colossians 4:9 – With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

From the topic, you can see that there is someone who called you and it is Him that is only faithful to do what he has called you to do. Hence the knowledge of what he has called you to do is very important. Ephesians 1:16-21 – Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: {in…: or, for the acknowledgement}

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what the hope of his calling is, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, {his mighty power: Gr. the might of his power}

20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

Romans 1:3-6 (KJV) – Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

You have a call upon your life from the text we have read

It is Call to follow Christ.

To be baptized into Christ – Romans 1:4-6- And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: {declared: Gr. determined} 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: {for obedience…: or, to the obedience of faith} 6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 12:1-2 – Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It is a call to be a Christian

Romans 1:7 – To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every man born of a woman has this call. Thanks to God that you and I have answered the call. A lot of people have not yet answered this call and it is our duty to help them to answer the call of God upon them. Why? It is the best thing that can ever happen to any man born of a woman. Romans 9:24 – Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

It is a call to fellowship with God through Jesus Christ

1 Corinthians 1:9 -God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:14 – For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

God daily search for that fellowship – John 4:23-24. Do not deny him. It is rewardable. It refreshes. It is the best experience anyone can have.

Do not commercialize or merchandise your fellowship with him. It makes you an ingrate – 1 Thess 5:18 – In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. It makes one be functioning wrongly. We were designed to fellowship and worship him we can not commercialize it – 1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: {peculiar: or, purchased} {praises: or, virtues}

It makes you a bread and butter believer like some people as addressed by Jesus – John 6:22-26 – The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boats there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) 24 When the people, therefore, saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

A call to enjoy power

A believer in Christ Jesus has answered a call to have power. You are not powerless. It is not what you will pray for No! It is what you have for free in Christ Jesus. – 1 Corinthians 1:24 – But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. John 1:11-12 – He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}

Mark 16:17-18 – And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mathew 16:19 – And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Ephesians 2: 6, 1:16-20

A call to be a peacemaker and enjoy His peace

The call that we have answered in Christ Jesus is a call to make peace with people. It is a call to save the lost. it is a call to partner with God to help people that have not answered this call to do so. God through Jesus has made us an ambassador to proclaim His love to others so that they also can be saved. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20 – To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. {committed…: Gr. put in us}
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Corinthians 7:15 – But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. Ephesians 2:14 – For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us Matt 5:9 –Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

That is why you can not keep malice. the reason you can not curse your enemies or kill them because they have to repent and be saved. That is what God through Christ wants. He knows how to keep you from their hurt don’t disturb yourself. No weapon formed against you can prosper as long as you remain in Christ that should answer your question about your safety.

Jesus said ti then just di it. Your blessings are in obedience, not disobedience. They are your neighbor and Jesus want you to love them – Mathew 22:36-40 – Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like, unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Let us not disappoint God in Christ Jesus. Let us live to be a peacemaker. –

Take note of the following scriptures very carefully – Romans 14:17 – For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Hebrews 12:14 – Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: The choice is now yours. But choose to please God so that at the end of your life on earth you can still have fellowship with him. You know that will be amazing than your worship and fellowship here on earth.

It is a call to Grace

It is a call to grace and not disgrace that we have answered in Christ Jesus and this why you can never see shame, No! I rebuke every spirit of shame around you to give way for grace to make you great from now and forever in Jesus name.

If it is a call to Grace then it is a call unto liberty or freedom. We have freedom in Christ Jesus – Galatians 5:1 – Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:13 – For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

It is a call to rest. In Christ Jesus we have rest halleluyah – Hebrews 4:3 – For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Galatians 1:6 – I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: It is not a call to disgrace. Hebrew 13:5 –Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. , 1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: {peculiar: or, purchased} {praises: or, virtues}

It is a call to glory

A believer is not supposed to experience anything less than glory daily simply because the call we have answered to be saved in Christ Jesus, The call we have answered to believe and fellowship with Christ Jesus is a call not to disgrace but to Glory. I pray for you that anything that is manifesting in your life that is not glorifying God must stop from operating in your life from today henceforth in Jesus name. Begin to experience glorious lifestyle daily from now and forever in Jesus’ name. 1 Thessalonians 2:12 – That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

So refuse to allow Satan or anyone to tamper with your life, I fit is not glorious it is not God. That means satan aha tampered with the life in you so by faith take your victory. 2 Peter 1:3 – According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

1 Peter 5:10 – But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

It is a call to eternal life

Yes, it is a call to have eternal life. Eternal life means a life that you have received that you will live here on earth and still live after death, If you don’t have this eternal life now through salvation in Christ Jesus there is no heaven for you but hellfire. 1 Timothy 6:12 – Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

As a believer, we have answered a call to have eternal life and now we have it. Halleluyah Hebrews 9:12 – Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 24 – For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Eternal Life calling is a holy calling: stay there and stay in the life – 2 Timothy 1:9 – Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

1 Peter 1:15 – But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

It is a calling to be a son of God

Every believer that has answered a call to salvation is a son of God. A son and daughter. When the bible says “son” it stands for both sex. 1 John 3:1-2- Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

John 1:11-12 – He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}
. Romans 8:15 – For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

How did he call you?

First, let me tell you that it is an honorable calling – Hebrews 5:4 – And no man takes this honor unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. Your calling is by His gospel – 2 Thessalonians 2:14 – Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How did you answer

It is by faith to salvation – Romans 10:8-11 – But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Note: The reason for this teaching is to make you abide in your calling – 1 Corinthians 7:20-24 – Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. 21 – Art thou called being a servant? Care not for it: but if thou may be made free, use it rather. 22 -For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant. 24 – Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

Stay there! Do not allow anything to remove you. Never get unplugged by all the waves of doctrine that are targeted at enslaving you. Once you are removed you are enslaved. Let no man entice you with corny words or enticing word – Colossians 2:4 – And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

Let no one remove you with the doctrine of men – Col 2:8 -Beware lest any man spoils you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. {Rudiments: or, elements} {Make a prey: or, seduce you, or, lead,)

14-18 – Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. {In it: or, in himself} 16 ¶ Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: {in meat…: or, for eating and drinking} {respect: or, part}

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, {beguile…: or, judge against you} {in a…: Gr. being a voluntary in humility}

1 Peter 1: 18 – For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;, 23 -Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.,

Don’t let sin remove you – 1 John 3:8-9 – 8 He that committed sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. {Is born: or, has been born}

Just as it is a calling to preach to you as I am doing now and the same for every other one called specially for a special assignment – 1 Corinthians 1:1 – Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother

What is very important that you should hold in this teaching very strongly is that

  1. You have a call upon your life – Every believer has a call of God upon him or her and the call is to receive power, become a c=sonof God, it is a call to glory, righteousness, etc as discussed above.
  2. Your caller is faithful to you – He is too faithful to keep his words, He is too faithful never to let you down, He is too faithful to make you live the life He has called you to. He is too faithful to stand with you, He is too faithful to walk and work with you, through you and with you. So relax, Know who you are in Christ Jesus and begin to function by Faith in that capacity.
